Yes, I know, I went to Keukenhof last month, but the flowers were not all in bloom and pretty as it was, it was not as spectacular as I had always heard...so that means at least one more try. The forecast calls for 70% chance of rain, but we were hopeful of something a little different.
After a wonderful nights sleep in the hotel (I was actually surprised that I slept so well since my head had gotten all congested), I was up at 6 am to get things situated, get myself ready, go down and have some breakfast (not nearly as good as yesterdays breakfast was, but still OK), get my stuff and load it on the bus, and then hope everyone else was on time to go...luckily they were. Then we were off and on our way for the half hour ride to Keukenhof. Along the way there were fields and fields covered in flowers...this seemed a good sign that Keukenhof would be amazing...
and then, we were there...so excited to see what the changes would be. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed last month, but hopeful for this month, and Keukenhof did not fail me. Walking through the gates it was all breath taking. So, not much needs to be said so please just enjoy the pictures.
I can only imagine it would be more beautiful if the trees were budding and leafing, but still breathtaking, as is.
